Drying, dripping tip..
in moments
mastery revealed
The formless
and spaces
by strokes enliven
Plasters peel
pastels blend
to revel the birth
With such panache
framed, loved
teased and adored
(.. now.. )
Drying slow, dying slow
stale smelling canvas
In your living room wall
Amongst reals
wishes to usurp
your escaping vision
for rework, a rebirth
refusing to endup
as another sfumato in stash.

lovely lines...welcome back to poetry :) Btw, what does the word mean? Sfumato?
L~
l~ thanks am no way near poetry. I know i don do justice to it. Its a wayward writing. btw sfumato is a style of painting that has no borders or lines but is done with mere color contrast. By increasing the density and decreasing it the depths and the profile is created. This style was used very much by none other than leonardo, actually he termed this word. This is exactly opposite to the chiaroscuro style of painting (found in baroque art- Carravagio's ;-) )..
This makes me think of the many times the once precious can be, and most times are, in the end, taken for granted... sadly taken for granted. Sigh. ^_^ *hug*
Hey, i really like this. :)
There can be whole world between what once was, to what it is now... :(
smell soul in your writing. truly appealing to my senses. keep writing dude..
and btw, you paint/sculpt?
hmm... sure you can link it up. my pleasure. yeah, i am fascinated to the red palettte. actually the reds and the blues both. a lot of my recent work is in the shades of red and these 4 poems are basically in sync with the works. am glad you liked bits...
