Kill that mocking dream..

Night spawns
 A thousand thoughts
Each paired
 With a million dreams
In every eyes
 Behind crimson curtains
In the last
 Thousand one
And tonight..

Just dreams
 Yes, just dreams
A travesty
 Staged a million times,
Of it, as we speak
 In Neverland
We are, you said
 While its no more
Than the Atlantis.

White lies, white dreams
 A malady
And nothing more
 Am tired chasing it,
Aren’t you?
 Someday
We wake up to realize
 Or worst
Pass out in sleep...

beautiful but depressing :( why? why?

The realisation of futility is very empowering, numbing at times. It is depressing in the sense that noone is ever there who can be with us over us while we wade our way thru life. It's us. Brutal enough. Us.

Well written. I like how this flows from one thought to another.

Wonderful imagery! I liked the twists that my thoughts had to take as they perused your poem. :-)

hey brilliant. had not even read it till you posted on my blog saying my verse seems like a reply to your last post. it does share a uncanny similarity at some level of conciousness. glad to read you as always...

wonder if it's as facile
to let go of those dreams
ones that we've held fondly to,
as the water drops hang on to
clouds
till sated beyond delivery...

:)

Athena You ask me a question, enmeshed with an answer Athena..its not easy to let go of those dreams, but as time goes by..it remains jus a dream.. I ran out of sleep, out of dreams..fortunately not out of hope..but felt atleast once i need to be hostile to these dreams and 'these' thoughts. I hate myself for writing something so dark and gray..more often..but then where else can this be let out..not another birth ;)

Pass out in sleep... - the best possible end of life.

I dream of death in a dream,
while dreaming, never to getup
stay there.

btw - good word works

Very well! I feel I get absolutely what you wanted to say.. you were very right about the parallelisms. Glad to find someone with thoughts so similar.
