Painter

I paint your dreams
  from inside cauldron eyes
while you confabulate I'd bleach
  realities to tungsten blue
yawn and yearn while I'd re-sketch
  dusk with burning sienna
you'd live a different dream,
  in my dreams, tonight
may be once, so you could smell
  the paints, with which I
continue to paint your life...

I still don't get it. Why are you painting someone else's life?

Athena Thanks much :)
CA um hmm :)

...M...hahahaha its not me who is painting someone else's life, its an interpretation of dreams and visualising somebody is painting it for us. Usual dreams and day dreams. I visualised it to be a person who does it, called him, the painter man. Since writing it in passive tone might not render a sensual effect, I use one char to be me and the other to be you. :)
Thanks much for asking anyway.

It is enigmatic! u have painted it well, i must say, better than that Painter Man (or woman), whoever he is... :)

I have always loved the use of color in poetry and you used it in this poem so well. So well that I am awash with hues of blues and siennas. So well that I want to dream dreams tonight.

These first two lines have won me over. I am mesmerized. ^_^

Happy holidays!

By the way, "odi et amo"? "I hate and I love"? Ahh, a Latin proverb that sounds beautiful to speak...

*hug*
